I was somewhat reluctant at buying this collection of music at a Best Buy during a damp night on March 28, 2007 but decided to after another CD I wanted was no longer there. It turns out that "Bombay Beats" turns out to be among the best purchases that I've made in many years. This album is not just great but also fun and full of life and energy. Fusing Bhangra instruments and Asian Indian vocals with trance and hip-hop, this album is perfect from start to finish!

I agree this is an excellent CD. But $18 is too high. I got mine at Best Buy for $14.
C'mon Distributors...it costs $1.00 to make the CD, with a small percentage of that $18 going to the artist. Stop being greedy ho's....
Very hip album November 4, 2006

I was happy to find this album. The beats are really solid. Definitely a nice break from typical bollywood music. The music is energetic and rocking. Definitely a nice add to my collection. I'm not even into dance music, but this album has a totally different feel that you're sure to love.

It's not classical Indian, but it's not girl meets boy à la Shreya and Khaan either. This is the stuff you will play at parties, or if you just want to nod your head off and chill out.
