5 out of 5 stars GoodGora reviews New SRK DVD   September 12, 2009
Good Gora (Marshfield, WI USA)
SRK plays a double role and plays the GEEK too well. It is embarrassing and uncomfortable at times. He seems more like him self in the brash swinger. His explanation in the bonus material is very enlightening.

The OCD Geek goes to his Mentor's daughters wedding only to fall in love with the cute, lively, energetic, spontaneous bride - all the things he is not. Her future husband and all the families dies in an accident on the way. His mentor has a heart attack and knows he is dying. His dying wish as a father is to get his daughter married so he has done his duty. They both reluctantly agree SRK a little less than the bride.

When they get home she tells him she can never love him and that love hurts. They live a marriage in name only. He is madly in lover with her but sees her spirit dying. She wants to dance and he lets her. His best friend/yaar helps him to have a new swinger look so he can watch his wife dance. The story takes off from her with her not recognizing her husband and all the events that happen after. I do not want to spoil it for you.

If history replays itself the new young actress has her career made after this.

SRK just shows the talent he has once again. I love stories about people and their lives and action much less. This is truly the story of a nobody whom fate has a different ending than anyone expected.

Make sure you watch the credits for the real finish of the movie!

After watching the movie three times in a row I had to have this music. This is an exceptional soundtrack that enhances and advances the story in a most delightful way and for a change, the tunes are in more or less the same order as in the movie so you can enjoy them as the remembered story unfolds. There's a poignancy and longing expressed in the music and lyrics that transcends, which, considering the title track is most appropriate (a match made by god).

Phir Melenge Chalte Chalte is both joyful and hopeful with an underlying feeling of the impermanence inherent in relationship and life. I find myself walking everywhere singing this in my head.

Tuhj Mein Rab Dikhta Hai is simply a wonderful love song. My only complaint is that I would have liked more, including some of the background music and varied versions of the tunes. Otherwise, while not long enough, this is a fabulous soundtrack and remains on my regularly played list.

Tujh me Rab Dikhta Hai Part 1 - Roop Kumar Rathod: One of the Best song and does reminds you of Veer-Zaara
Haule Haule - Another winner and sung by a predictable Sukhwinder Singh. That said this is one song that you are going to play over and over again. Check out the video preview on yashraj site.
Dance Pe Chance - A fun song and gives you some insight in what the movie is about?!
Phir Milenge - This is a PARODY?! A mix of all famous movie titles in one song?? never seen this in Chopra camp? Sonu Nigam is good as always however he deserved better on this album may be "Haule Haule". I guess this song will be better in the movie but not as a song.
Tujh me Rab Dikhta Hai Part 2 - Shreya Ghosal - This singer is the best and delivers in every song. This song is going to be a tear-jerker in the movie for all you ladies!!
Dancing Jodi - A remix of all songs above. Good approach but lacks punch like Jhoom Baraabar Jhoom

Overall an EXCELLENT album but will not be a HIT as DDLJ

ENJOY......
