Product Description Finally: HolyHell releases their long awaited, self-titled, debut album 'HolyHell'. Since their beginning in 2005 the US Americans have been touring all over the world with MANOWAR, growing a fan base that has been waiting with great anticipation for an album.
'HolyHell' is the masterpiece everybody was hoping for. Dramatic, emotional and epic! From the catchy opener 'Prophecy' to the sinister, unearthly 'Angel Of Darkness' and the multi-layered winner 'Holy Water' into the triumphant finale 'Armageddon' a complex arc of dramatic storytelling captures the listener. Singer Maria Breon's powerful, dark voice, her versatile talents and emotional depth have become the trademark of the band. Few bands achieve such brilliance with their debuts.
This achievement is the result of the remarkable combination of individual talent, of outstanding musicianship, an overwhelming creative urge and a wisely endured ripening process. These characteristics are united in condensed form within the person of singer Maria Breon. It was the classically trained front woman who laid the foundation for HolyHell, when - with the overwhelming determination to sing in a rock band - she approached MANOWAR legend Joey DeMaio. Impressed by her talent and drive he has supported her and her band with expertise and advice.
With former MANOWAR drummer Rhino joining, Breon starts the band with an old school pro of highest precision. With the cornerstone for HolyHell placed, Guitarist Joe 'Shred Lord' Stump, another famous name, and bassist Jay Rigney joins the band. For the keyboards, Francisco Palomo completes the team. A lucky strike: not only does this amazing talent have university degrees in composition, music education and dramatic arts; his calm and wise nature brings many invaluable qualities into the band.
Produced by self-confessed perfectionist Joey DeMaio, mixed by award-winning sound engineer Ronald Prent and mastered by the two time Grammy Award winner Darcy Proper, this album was finished by true masters.
HolyHell exceeds the high expectations for the debut of this US band by far. But instead of leaning back and resting on their laurels, HolyHell will soon return to the world's stages to proudly present their masterpiece to their fans.
Not the apocalypse is waiting for HolyHell and their fans, but a bright future.

Buy it! Love it! Tell all your friends! August 10, 2010 CJ Cregg What a voice! What a sound!
The first time I heard HolyHell was by watching one of their performances on DVD, and I got goosebumps just from watching that!
Next time, I saw them live, during one of their festival shows in Europe, with the songs from their EP 'Apocalypse'.
So here was the proof: they are not one of those bands where the sound is created in the studio.
Maria Breon has a fantastic voice and can sing... live!! Just as her band mates are masters on their instruments.
So, I was really hoping for more and was happy when their first long play album 'HolyHell' came out.
And it is great from beginning to end!!
Whether it is fast paced rock/metal like 'Gates of Hell', or amazingly beautiful power ballads like 'The Fall' (love it!) - just great!
I read they wrote 'The Fall' inspired by the Twilight books... and you can totally imagine this song in one of those movies. Lots of candles, etc ;-)
But no worries... they rock! Perfect mix.
Just listen and you'll know what I mean.
Additionally impressive is that these guys (correction: that Ms .Breon, and the guys) write their songs themselves!
I've 'made' several friends listen to the CD and they all came back and totally loved it.
So long 'Evanescence', good bye 'Nightwish'... here is your new female fronted rock/metal band: HOLYHELL
Looking forward to hear more
Good luck for the future, HOLYHELL
AWESOME VOCALS!!!! July 29, 2010 Mortified13 This band really rocks!!! I know that we are bombarded now with Nightwish clones but this is totally different and even uplifting calling to mind even Siouxsie Sioux's cat like vocals or even Stevie Nicks in her prime. The lead vocalist is very talented and classically trained singer. Catch them live if you can as you can see them on YOUTUBE performing at various metal festivals. AWESOME!!! 5 stars!!!! *****
Phenomenal July 27, 2010 Stephanie Holbrook I haven't been able to get this out of my CD player for about 2 months now. Phenomenal effort musically, vocally and production wise. You can get this cheaper elsewhere and I recommend that you do as this classic will echo through your metal heart for a long time.
Holyhell! July 2, 2010 Metal Queen (Portland, Oregon) I agree with one of the reviewers regarding the lyrics being at times repetitive, however I can't with all honesty take a star off for that, basically because i believe repetition has it's place with the right music. I found this band quite amazing. They have a great mix of old school metal, (this age hard rock) and a "gothic epic-ness" that well, kind of blows you away. At times, dark and creepy with neo-classical paths this female vocalist reminds me of a edgy Doro that has teamed up with the classic metalists of our time a.k.a Ronnie James Dio (RIP). This band is what I had hoped Halestorm was going to be. Awesome stuff. My metal high is 5 out of 5 stars.
Quick Holyhell review February 21, 2010 Amethyst Ed (New Jersey, USA) This CD is actually very good. My only complaint is that the lyrics are quite one sided and very repeatative. Heavy themes on dark and light, heavan and hell, good and evil, etc... But the vocals are excellent with a very heavy synth metal band backing her up.
If you like the following musicians, please check out this music:
Manowar
Celine Dion
Pat Benatar
Evenescence
Deep Purple
Type O Negative
Overkill
I know this is a wierd mixture, but those are the core sounds that I hear in this music and I love it!
